North Devon Hospital enlists MIG for operating theatre refurbishment
MIG has a strong track record of delivering tricky healthcare construction projects to high standards. So much so, that our completion of North Devon Hospital’s modular Jubilee Ward resulted in MIG being shortlisted for the 2022 Healthcare Estates IHEEM Healthcare Supplier of the Year Award.
Following the successful handover of the Jubilee Ward, North Devon once again enlisted MIG’s services for a full refurbishment of one of its four operating theatres, conducted while its remaining theatres continued to service patients.

MIG stripped out existing theatre equipment and services before installing a full medical gas supply, as well as installing and providing a clinical fit-out of the operating theatre area.
Working in a live operating theatre department, our engineers coordinated works with discretion and operated after hours to ensure minimal disruption to patients.
Again working to a tight 10 week project timeline, MIG was able to complete the refurbishment to the total satisfaction of Marsh Pullen, capital contracts manager at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
He said: “We rely on MIG’s healthcare expertise to ensure our facilities are delivered to an exceptional standard with minimal fuss and great value.

“They bring a fantastic attitude to every job and we know they have the knowledge to help us with any challenges that may arise.”
Chris Jepson, senior project manager for MIG said:
“We have built up a great relationship with North Devon Hospital. It is a real pleasure to be asked back when clients have additional projects, because it demonstrates the trust that we have established in a very challenging working environment.”
